President / Broker
Marshall was born and raised in Wichita Kansas. While at Wichita State in 1975, studying Entrepreneurship, Marshall opened the first of what became a chain of 10 specialty retail stores in Kansas, Utah and California. He followed this by opening a manufacturing and distribution company serving a five state area.
In 1983, while working with a local condominium developer and Realtor, Marshall received his Kansas real estate brokers license. In 1984 Marshall left to build his own company, Landvest Corporation, a local commercial real estate management firm specializing in multi-family, office, warehousing and retail centers. It was during this time that Landvest began managing two self-storage properties for two local developers.
In 1990 Landvest divested it’s non self-storage properties and devoted it’s full time and attention to the Self-Storage industry. Over the following years, this independent relationship with this development group, led to the expansion and management of nearly 60 self-storage properties with over two million square feet, operating in eight states.
In his spare time, Marshall is an avid pilot and enjoys traveling with his wife of 25 years.
